About Us
What we do
Publishes educational resources regarding an international relations concept, which is then applied in one of our current events articles on our blog. Diplomacy Decoded works to formulate a curriculum for students to attain an understanding of the international relations discipline and global events. Additionally, Diplomacy Decoded conducts interviews with experts in the fields of international relations, government, and public policy.
Why We Do It
Political and international events today are extremely polarizing, yet they have a profound impact on global welfare. Therefore, students of all ages must learn how to analyze and discuss international events in a non-partisan way so everyone understands the significance of what is happening on the world stage, can reach agreements, and have meaningful discussions without them devolving into unproductive discourse. We are aiming to equip young people with the skills to combat the rampant misinformation currently spreading on various platforms by providing young people with an academic framework to understand what is happening and allow them make their own conclusions.
Our President and Founder
Gabriel Rhodes
Gabriel is a motivated and diligent high school student with experience in government and political affairs. He has a profound interest in politics, policy, and community outreach. He serves as an intern for the Permanent Mission of Afghanistan to the United Nations and has worked at State Senator Brad Hoylman-Sigal’s Office, Governor Phil Murphy’s Office, and the New Jersey State Democratic Committee. Gabriel is the Elected Student Body Vice-President, Under Secretary-General of the Model United Nations Club, Vice-President of the Mock Trial Club, and a leader of the Political Discussions Club at his school. Ultimately, Gabriel hopes to study political science and government at a university to continue developing his passion for civics and utilize it in his future career.
Programming
An Introduction to Diplomacy is a comprehensive educational presentation explaining the fundamentals of diplomacy and international relations. The course is interactive with videos and unique activities. Through this presentation, Diplomacy Decoded seeks to inspire young people and build their passion for civics, public speaking, and critical thinking skills.
